[SilverSpoon] Do You Qualify for the Neutrino Program?

Thank you for your interest in the SilverSpoon/Neutrino program. Unfortunately, it is currently closed to the public.

SilverSpoon is a highly exclusive program and is rarely open for entry.

Applications for entry into the few new spots in the SilverSpoon-Neutrino program are periodically opened up during the course of the year, so to be notified when applications for enrollment are next being accepted, get your name on the waiting list. If you’re good and eat your vegetables, you may get the opportunity to apply for a place.

I promise, you’ll be the first to know…well, not the ‘first’ first, but the sooner you get your name onto the list, the faster you’ll get to know 😉 .

Do you think you qualify for entry into SilverSpoon?

SilverSpoon 7.0 is the new SilverSpoon and is codenamed “Neutrino”. Which “flavor” of SilverSpoon-Neutrino you qualify for depends, among other factors, on your target language and level. Neutrino is intended specifically for beginners, serial beginners and intermediates.

Should you be accepted into the program, your starting point and learning process will be customized precisely to fit your level of proficiency.

Language

Click on a language name or flag to learn more about its unique version of Neutrino 🙂

In terms of language level, Neutrino is for beginners, serial beginners and intermediates.

If you get accepted into the Neutrino program, your Neutrino experience will be customized to your language level.

I keep getting reminders that vanilla silver spoon is closing in the  many hours, minutes …… and have waited for the possibility to sign up and can only find the option to sign up if I have done all the kanji, the reality is I have not done that, so am not going to pay for that until I have finished RTK, so am I missing something or is the vanilla option sold out closed or what? I like AJATT and have got a lot from your website thank you and as far as signing up for these learning offerings and trying to pay you is very confusing……..and if I miss again so be it. If you could making your offerings a bit clearer it would be helpful…….

I agree…I had the same problem trying to find where to join, but really had wanted to.

I can’t seem to even get on the mailing list. I entered my email address but haven’t even received a confirmation email.

    New language versions?!?   Like Cantonese?
I would do rather shameful things for a Cantonese version of Silver Spoon.
    Just sayin’

I was in doubt whether I should go Vanilla or BigBoi because I had forgotten about half of the Heisig Kanji, but after going for BigBoi I found out it was the right choice. If in doubt, go for BigBoi ad just review those Kanji, they’ll come back fast and there’s enough free time in BigBoi at the beginning. My 2yen.

Is a Cantonese version a possibility for the future? Doesn’t matter how far away, but would be nice to know if you are planning it for one day.

Read the above article a little more carefully. 😛

This is just totally random, but: “There is no real test for fluency, but a good indicator would be whether or not you can explain how to tie your shoes in a foreign language without using gestures”

What if you’re in between? Like, you know all the kana and the basic phrases but you still don’t know more than 100 kanji and can’t hold a good conversation? (Actually, now that I’ve written that out, it seems like beginner, haha.)

Alright, better example. What if you know all the kana, and can hold a good conversation, but you don’t know more than 100 kanji and, even though you can hold a conversation, your grammar isn’t exactly top-notch? Something in between like that. What would that qualify for?

    Korean, Korean Korean.

    Korean.

    Please.

    Thank you.

I agree, Korean! Add it! And I shall be super happy as it is the next one I shall learn!

韓国語ください! However, I think the problem is he can only make a *spoon for languages that he actually knows to a sufficient level of fluency. So, if we’re ever going to see a HangulSpoon, he has to outsource it.

Do it, Khatz. Start outsourcing the creation of new Spoons.

You dangle Canto SS on the home page for us like (something very tantilizing that dangles) but don’t put ANYTHING on the page that it links to… that is SO frustrating and a damn brilliant bit of marketing.
    We wait with baited breath…

  13. May 14, 2012 at 03:15

CantoSpoon! I’m waiting for more details. I’m pretty far ahead in Cantonese now (if I do say so myself), but I’m very interested in what you’ve got to offer.

Been reading here since, what, 2007?

Anyways, you might have a developer here for SwedeSpoon. Just saying.

Vanilla…you referencing hentai genres? Or is it coincidental

  16. September 28, 2012 at 09:27

This isn’t directly – or even indirectly – related to the post, but anyway, I’m just leaving a comment to say good on you for finally putting a link to Kanji Damage on AJATT. I’ve been a huge fan of KD for several years, as it basically taught me Japanese from scratch, and I think that it fits right in with the AJATT philosophy (IMHO, I also think it’s better than Heisig, although some may disagree…).

I think there should be a Hungarian version… just for the bad puns.

Didn’t SilverSpoon start in April 2011? If so, I would imagine that the first round of ‘spooners would be nearing the finish line now. It would be super cool if we could hear from these people once they’ve graduated from the program 🙂

How much of a time commitment is Vanilla SilverSpoon?

I want to learn, but my schedule is pretty tight right now so I want to know if I can fit it in without going down to 5 hours of sleep.

Is it 1 hour a day? 2 hours? variable?

    Thanks in advance.

There are a few things on this site a bit too cryptic for me, one is this. I waited till today to sign up for Neutrino SinoSpoon, but now there is a password box that blocks my entrance. I signed up for some waiting list, but nothing is explained… Is it that only the people who are at the top of the list (this round at least) get an email with the password? Then they gain access to this site where they can buy SinoSpoon…? Can anybody help explain to me how this works?

    我不清楚.

Trying to figure out how one manages to get on the Japanese VIP waiting list. I’m already pretty awesome so the VIP part is a given but the waiting list part is eluding me. (:

Duh! Okay, I managed to find it although it took me much longer than I care to admit. I’ll blame it on the distractions in the lab today. Yeah, that’s it… (:

Any way to get feedback on how far down the waiting list we are? I see the round is closing in 9 hours and I’d love to get in but I haven’t heard anything yet. Thanks!

What is this neutrino program all about? I’m confused as to why there is a waiting list.

I received a password in the email, but cannot find a log-in point, as when I try at the top of the page by going to ss.ajatt.com/dap/login.php and attempting my email and the given password, but no dice.

    Hi,

Sounds great, but how much should I pay for that fantastic Neutrino? Does it depend of languages?
Some of you , waiting our time to come, did discover how much Khatz is asking for?

    Merci!
